Test board
Test board usage[edit]
The test board thought to simplify ESP8266 testing.
It can be powered by a 5V or a 3V power supply.
1 - 5V Power plug (+ is internal, - external)
12 and 13 - 3.3V power male pins (12V+, 13V-)
3,4,5,6 - Configuration jumpers: 3 for pin 15, 4 for pin 2, 5 for pin 0, 6 for pin 4. Pins 15, 0 and 2 are used to set the board in normal operation or download (upload to the board) firmware modes. Pin 4 is usually software configured to create a 'reset configuration parameters to factory value' jumper at runtime.
2 - A shortcut for pin 0 configuration. Circuit open = upload firmware, circuit closed = normal operations. Please note that if pin 3 is always open, and pin 4 is always closed, you can safely upload firmware and test board without having to remove the module every time.
10 and 11 - Socket for the ESP8266 module. Antenna down.
7,8,9 - RX, TX and ground. Used to upload firmware or UART debug the board. Please note that RX and TX must be inverted.
14 - 6 ground connectors.
14,15,16,17,18,19 - connected to pins 13, 14, 12, 16, 5 and ADC respectively.
